Fresno State won its 13th-straight game on Saturday, tying its second-longest winning streak in program history and maintains the second-longest active winning streak in the country.
It is Fresno State’s longest winning streak since 1960-62.
Fresno State recorded an unblemished nonconference record for the first time since 2013.
Fresno State opened its season 4-0 for the first time since 2013.
Fresno State is one of two MW schools left to be undefeated in 2023.
The last time Fresno State scored at least 36 points in a half was Oct. 27, 2018 (37 vs. Hawai’i).
Fresno State’s 53 points was its most in a game since Nov. 5, 2022 versus Hawai’i (55).
The touchdown allowed to Kent State at 5:48 in the first quarter was the first by the Bulldogs since the first possession of overtime against Eastern Washington on Sept. 9.

Offensive Notes

Mikey Keene recorded his second career 300-yard passing game, throwing for 325 yards on 24-of-31 attempts.
Following a 1-yard touchdown late in the second quarter, Elijah Gilliam became the first Bulldog to record three touchdowns in a game since Jordan Mims on Nov. 25, 2022.
Gilliam scored two rushing touchdowns and caught his first-career receiving touchdown.
Gilliam recorded a career-high 59 receiving yards.
Erik Brooks scored his fourth touchdown of the season, a 40-yard reception from Keene. It was the third-longest play for the Bulldogs this season, and second-longest touchdown.
WR Jaelen Gill attempted his first career pass on the Bulldogs’ second possession, a 32-yard touchdown pass to Gilliam.
Gill also scored his second touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone.
Jalen Moss caught his third touchdown of the season in the second quarter, a 12-yard pass from Keene.
Moss more than doubled his season-high in receiving yards in the first half, collecting 88 yards on five receptions.
Moss finished the game with a career-high 120 yards receiving.
WR Tim Grear Jr. recorded his first career reception.

Defensive Notes

Al’zillion Hamilton got his first career start at cornerback.
Dean Clark led the ‘Dogs in tackles against his former team, totaling six in the win.
Clark led the team in tackles for his second time as a Bulldog.
