- Fresno State became bowl eligible for the fourth straight season.
- Fresno State surrendered a touchdown to its opponent on the opening drive for the fifth straight game.
- Fresno State scored a touchdown on its opening drive for the third straight game.
- Fresno State fumbled the ball on a touchdown attempt in the second quarter, and it was recovered by Colorado State. It was just the Bulldogs’ second lost fumble of the season.
- Fresno State’s 28 points in the first half were its most in a first half since scoring 31 in the opening half against New Mexico State (Sept. 14).
- The Bulldogs had 148 yards rushing in the first half. The 148 yards in the first half were the most the Bulldogs have had in a game total since having 281 yards rushing against New Mexico State (Sept. 14).
Offense Notes
- Freshman Bryson Donelson earned his first career start (RB).
- Donelson finished the game with a career-high 140 yards on 12 carries despite leaving the game early in the third quarter with an apparent injury.
- Donelson opened the game with a career-long 21-yard run, on the first play of the game. It was the longest rush by a Bulldog since Elijah Gilliam had a 20-yard scamper against Washington State on Oct 12.
- Donelson one-upped himself in the second quarter with a 43-yard rush. It was the second-longest rush by the ‘Dogs this season, and the longest since Malik Sherrod had a 48-yard run against New Mexico State (Sept. 14).
- Donelson scored his second career touchdown.
- Donelson had his first career 100-yard rushing game, surpassing that mark before halftime.
- Donelson became the first true freshman running back to have a 100-yard rushing performance since Ronnie Rivers and Jordan Mims, both, in 2017.
- QB Joshua Wood scored his fifth rushing touchdown of the season.
- WR Mac Dalena caught his eighth receiving touchdown of the season.
- Dalena finished with a team-high seven catches for 75 yards.
Defense Notes
- Jakari Embry led the team with seven tackles (five solo), one shy of his career-high.
- DE Korey Forman, and DBs Dean Clark and Kosi Agina added six tackles apiece.
- Foreman also had Fresno State’s only sack on the night.
- LB Phoenix Jackson grabbed his second interception of the season.
- DB Loyall Mouzon saw the first game action of his career.
