Team Notes:
- Fresno State’s loss by one point is its closest loss since falling 17-16 at San Jose State on Nov. 30, 2019.
- Fresno State’s two losses at home so far this season are its most since having four in the 2019 season. Fresno State was 4-8 overall in 2019 with a 2-4 record at home.
- The one-point game was the 6th one-possession game between Hawai’i and Fresno State as Mountain West opponents.
- Fresno State allowed a touchdown on the opening drive for the fourth straight game.
- Fresno State had a PAT blocked on the second attempt of the night. It was the first time Fresno State had a PAT blocked since November 17, 2018 against San Diego State.
- Fresno State had zero penalties in the first half.
- Fresno State had its first interception returned for a touchdown since 2022.
- Fresno State’s defense has grabbed at least one interception in seven games this season, including back-to-back games with one tonight.

Offense Notes:
- RB Elijah Gilliam scored his seventh rushing touchdown of the season in the first quarter.
- Gilliam’s first score was a 10-yard run. It tied his longest touchdown run of the season.
- WR Raylen Sharpe scored his second touchdown of the season, and first since the season opener at then-No. 9 Michigan.
- Sharpe extended his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 35 straight games.
- Sharpe led the team in receiving yards with 48. It was the first time he led the team in receiving since Sept. 28 at UNLV.
- QB Mikey Keene had his third game of the season without an interception.
- OL Jacob Spomer saw his first game action of the season, coming in at left tackle in the first half. Spomer suffered a season-ending injury at San Jose State on Nov. 11, 2023.
Defense Notes:
- LB Phoenix Jackson had his first career pick 6, returning the interception 89 yards for the touchdown.
- Jackson’s interception taken back for a touchdown was the Bulldogs’ first since Cam Lockridge took one back against Hawai’i on Nov. 5, 2022.
- Jackson scored Fresno State’s first defensive touchdown of the season.
- Jackson grabbed his second career interception, and his first of the season.
- Jackson led the team with nine tackles, a season-high.
- Jackson also had his first career forced fumble against Hawai’i.
- Jayden Davis was on the receiving end of Davis’ fumble, picking up the first fumble recovery of his career.
- With eight tackles tonight, LB Malachi Langley moves into seventh in program history with 299 tackles in his career.
- Jakari Embry and Gavriel Lightfoot each finished with a career-high eight tackles.
Special Teams Notes:
- Dylan Lynch missed the first PAT of his career, making all 80 since 2022. His first attempt on Saturday was blocked.
- Lynch did not try for a field goal on Saturday, his second time without an attempt this season.
- Clay Lawrence tied his season-high with seven punts on the night.
