- Fresno State played Saturday’s game in front of 110,665, its largest crowd performed in front of in program history.
- Fresno State dropped its season opener for the first time since 2020. Fresno State is 60-39-4 in its season openers.
- Fresno State held Michigan to just 89 yards of total offense in the first half (54 pass/34 rush) – its fewest in a half since 2016.
- Fresno State held Michigan to 269 total yards, its third fewest in a game since 2020.
- The Bulldogs outgained the Wolverines through the air, 238-121.
- Fresno State lost the turnover battle 2-1. It resulted in a 14-point differential.
- Fresno State falls to 1-1 under interim head coach Tim Skipper.
Offense:
- Jalen Moss led the offense with six catches for 97 yards.
- Mikey Keene finished with 238 yards on 22-of-36 passing for one touchdown and two interceptions.
- Raylen Sharpe had his first catch as a Bulldog, a 7-yard reception.
- Sharpe scored his first touchdown as a Bulldog, a 19-yard score in the fourth quarter.
- Joshua Wood entered the game mid-way through the fourth to sneak in a run. His first action of his career.
- Nathan Acevedo played in the first game of his Bulldog career, finishing with two catches for 19 yards.
- Campbell McHarg earned his first start as a Bulldog.
- Kamron Beachem earned his first career start.
- Chedon James, Bryson Donelson, Ponafatu Kamuta, Richie Anderson and Brock Lium also all appeared in their first career games as Bulldogs. Donelson, a true freshman.
Defense:
- In the first quarter, Cam Lockridge grabbed his first interception since Sept. 16, 2023 at Arizona State. The senior missed the final nine games of 2023 due to injury.
- It was Lockridge’s 10th interception of his collegiate career, and seventh as a Bulldog.
- Ezra Christensen recorded his first career solo sack, a loss of nine, to force a three-and-out in the second quarter.
- Camryn Bracha ended the day with a career-high 10 tackles
- Along with his interception, Lockridge totaled six tackles, a high for the DB as a Bulldog.
- Tuasivi Nomura registered a career-best six tackles
- Jayden Davis earned his first career start. Davis was ejected for targeting on the Bulldogs’ first defensive drive. Â
- Jahzon Jacks earned his first career start.
- Camryn Bracha started at nickelback.
- Justin Houston saw his first play action since 2022.
- RJ Regan, Korey Foreman, Jakari Embry, Makei Thompson, Gus Remlinger, and Jairus Satele all saw their first action as Bulldogs.
Special Teams:
- Dylan Lynch converted on his first field goal of the season, a 41-yarder.
- Lynch has made a field goal in each of his last 14 games.
- Clay Lawrence was Fresno State’s punter, playing in his first-ever football game, at any level. He finished the game with a 42.1 average on seven punts.
- Nick Verdugo played in his first game as a Bulldog, serving as the holder for Lynch
