- Fresno State went three-and-out on its first drive of the game for the first time since the season opener at then-No. 9 Michigan.
- Fresno State held New Mexico to three points in the first quarter, the Lobos’ first game this season being held to below 10 points in the opening quarter.
- New Mexico’s 10 points at the half were its least since Nov. 4, 2023.
- Fresno State finished the game with three takeaways, its third game in a row with multiple takeaways.
- Fresno State had two interceptions in the game. It marked the fourth straight game that the Bulldogs have grabbed an interception to start the year, and five consecutive dating back to the 2023 New Mexico Bowl.
- Fresno State gave up its first touchdown in 16-straight drives, allowing one to UNM late in the second quarter.
- Fresno State had 10 players with a reception for the second time this season (vs Sacramento State, 9/14)
- Fresno State won its first game when being outgained (485-345) since Nov. 4, 2023 vs. Boise State (488-441).
Offense Notes:
- Passing for 226 yards on 26-of-33 attempts, Mikey Keene posted a 78.8% completion percentage, the fourth-highest of his career, and second-highest as a Bulldog.
- Josiah Freeman caught his first touchdown of the season, a 5-yard toss from Keene.
- Freeman finished with a career-high five receptions.
- Jayden Mandal recorded his second successful two-point conversion of the season, a pass to Brock Lium following the Bulldogs’ opening score.
- Mac Dalena had a 29-yard reception. It was his third-straight game with at least one play of over 20 yards.
- Bryson Donelson scored his first career touchdown with a 1-yard rush in the second quarter.
- Raylen Sharpe threw his first career touchdown pass on a 26-yard completion to Kamron Beachem. It was also the first touchdown reception of Beachem’s career
- Sharpe also caught a season-high six receptions for a team-high 49 yards.
- Elijah Gilliam scored his second rushing touchdown of the season, and the seventh of his career. It was his second straight week with a score.
- Lyndon Ravare recorded his first career reception as a Bulldog.
Defense Notes:
- Tuasivi Nomura racked up a career-high 16 tackles. It was the most tackles by a Bulldog since Jeff Allison had 17 at Nevada on Oct. 6, 2018.
- Jahzon Jacks recovered a fumble on New Mexico’s opening possession. It was his first career fumble recovery.
- Malachi Langley forced the fumble, the first of his career.
- Al’zillion Hamilton grabbed his first interception of the season, and third of his career.
- Hamilton also added a career-high 1.5 TFLs.
- Dean Clark had a season-high 11 tackles, his most in a game as a Bulldog.
- Julian Neal grabbed his first career interception.
Special Teams Notes:
- Dylan Lynch extended his streak to 17 consecutive games with a field goal.
- Lynch was 3-of-3 on field goal attempts.
- It was the fifth time Lynch has made at least three field goals in a game in his career.
