Fresno State-UNLV Postgame Quotes
Interim Head Coach Tim Skipper
On the game…
“We didn’t do a good enough these guys prepared for this game. We started the game with an interception, a blocked punt and then we couldn’t stop the run. It seemed like nothing was going our way. It’s hard to win on the road, but the score got out of hand. We have to take this as a learning experience and watch the tape. We have to be better prepared, and that starts with myself.”
“We wanted to be a lot more physical than we were today. The goal is always to win all three phases of the game. I felt like UNLV won all three phases today. The biggest issue was that we couldn’t stop the run. If you can’t stop the run against this UNLV team, then you’re in for a long night.”
“The UNLV quarterback change didn’t affect this game. They stayed in their offense. We aren’t going to blame this on the quarterback change. They just outplayed us tonight. We have to give credit where credit is due.”
"We aren't a bad football team. We just had a bad game. We are going to watch the film tomorrow, take a couple days off to get healthy during this bye week and then get back to work. We'll bounce back."
