- Fresno State interim head coach Tim Skipper earned his first win as head coach at Valley Children’s Stadium, the same stadium he played in as a Bulldog student-athlete.
- Within the first seven minutes of the game, Fresno State scored two touchdowns over 75 yards. The Bulldogs last had two touchdown plays of 75 yards or more in the same game on Oct. 27, 2018 versus Hawai’i (100-yard kick return - Jamire Jordan; 76-yard rush - Ronnie Rivers).
- Fresno State’s 46 points are its most in a game since scoring 53 against Kent State on Sept. 23, 2023.
- Fresno State had its most first half points (25) since scoring 36 in the first half against Kent State that same night.
- Fresno State scored a touchdown on its first drive of the game for the first time since Nov. 25, 2023 at San Diego State.
- The Bulldogs had multiple takeaways in the game for the first time this season (one interception and two fumble recoveries).
- Fresno State had three quarterbacks play in the game, and contribute on offense, for the first time since Sept. 12, 2015 at Ole Miss (Ford Childress, Chasen Virgil and Zack Greenlee).
- Fresno State had nine players with a reception, its most in a game since Sept. 2, 2023 at Purdue (9).
- Fresno State had eight players with at least one rush attempt on Sept. 11, 2021 against Cal Poly.
- Fresno State held Sacramento State to just 4-of-14 on third down, keeping its opponent to under five third down conversions in both games this season.
Offense:
- QB Mikey Keene threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Mac Dalena on the first play of the game. It was the longest completion of Keene’s career and the longest reception of Dalena’s career.
- Keene threw his fourth career 300-yard passing game.
- Keene threw for a season-high 358 yards. It was the third-highest of his Bulldog career.
- Fresno State had its first successful 2-point conversion since Nov. 25, 2023 at San Diego State as Jayden Mandal took the direct snap in for two on the first scoring drive.
- It was Mandal’s first action of his career.
- WR Mac Dalena recorded his first 100-yard receiving game 11 minutes into the game (3 catches for 137 yards), and he more than doubled his previous career-high with a game-high 235 yards.
- It was the most receiving yards in a game by a Bulldog since Davante Adams on Nov. 29, 2013 versus San Jose State (264).
- His 33.6 yards per catch in a single game was the second-highest average in program history.
- Dalena became the first Bulldog to reach 200-yards receiving since Jalen Moreno-Cropper at Utah State on Nov. 14, 2020.
- Dalena’s 235 yards receiving tie for the seventh-most in a game in program history.
- TE Richie Anderson recorded his first career catch, a three-yard reception.
- LB Tyler Mello scored the first touchdown of his career, on the first offensive play of his career while lining up as a fullback.
- RB Malik Sherrod had his first multi-score game since Nov. 25, 2023 at San Diego State.
- WR Raylen Sharpe extended his active streak of games with a reception to 28 consecutive games.
- QB Joshua Wood ran for his first career touchdown, a 10-yard keeper.
Defense:
- The defense produced a turnover in back-to-back games as Korey Foreman knocked the ball out and Tuasivi Nomura recovered it.
- Nomura finished with a team-high 11 tackles, a career-high.
- Kosi Agina forced the first fumble of his career. Cam Lockridge recovered the fumble, the second of his career and first as a Bulldog.
- DB Camryn Bracha grabbed his first interception as a Bulldog.
- DB Jayden Davis had a career-high four tackles.
- DL Deijon Laffitte saw his first action as a Bulldog.
- DL Auckland Asiata, a true freshman, saw the first play time of his collegiate career.
Special Teams:
- Jalen Moss returned a punt 85 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. It was the first punt return for a touchdown of his career and the first for the Bulldogs since Nikko Remigio returned one 70 yards against Boise State in the 2022 Mountain West Championship.
- Dylan Lynch converted his first field goal attempt of the game, a 32-yarder. It extended his streak to 15 straight games with a made field goal.
- Lynch missed on a field goal from 48-yards out. It was his first missed field goal attempt since Nov. 18, 2023.
