HIGH SCHOOL: Williams finished his high school career as Roosevelt High’s all-time leading scorer with 2,302 points, which ranks as the fifth-most in Central Section history and the most-ever in the city of Fresno … averaged 33.8 points and 18 rebounds per game during his senior season … set a city record with a career-best 53 points in a single game … led his team to a Central Section Division III title with 29 points, 23 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Roosevelt’s 60-36 victory in the championship game … Williams earned All-State honors, was named the North Yosemite League Most Valuable Player and was the Fresno Bee Offensive Player of the Year for the 2015-16 season.
PERSONAL: Son of Donald and Corinthia Williams … has one younger sister, Aliyah … favorite athlete is Draymond Green because he plays hard, he’s tough, and versatile … biggest athletic thrill is when he puts up a lot of points for his team and plays great defense … enjoys playing video games in his spare time … most admires his Mom because of everything she sacrificed for him … Williams chose Fresno State because of the coaching staff and where the program is going.
