2022-23 (SENIOR): Was 5-7-0 in the horsemanship this season … led the team with five wins in the event … also had a team-high two MOPs on the season … won four-straight horsemanship points from Nov. 17-Feb. 4 … won her MOPs against Auburn (Oct. 15) and Baylor (Feb. 4) … scored a season-high 77 against Baylor (Feb. 4) … four of her five wins were against ranked opponents … NCEA All-Academic first team … NCEA Academic Honor Roll
2021-22 (SENIOR): Recorded a 7-8-1 record in the horsemanship this season … earned a team-best three MOP honors in the event - vs South Carolina (Oct. 1), SMU (Nov. 6), and UC Davis (Feb. 26) … five of her seven wins were against ranked opponents … had a career-high 78.5 on the road at UC Davis (Mar. 12) … won her point at the national championship with a 224.5-221 ride over her Oklahoma State opponent … first team APHA All-Academic … first team Big 12 All-Academic … APHA academic honor roll selection.
2021 (JUNIOR): Went 6-4-1 in the horsemanship this season … earned six wins over ranked opponents on the year … scored a season-high 76.5 in a tie on a neutral site against Oklahoma State (Mar. 7) … was 1-1 at the Big 12 championship … earned her point at the national championship with a 214.5-208.5 edging over Jojo Roberson … was 1-1-1 in her regular-season Big 12 matchups … first team Academic All-Big 12 … first team NCEA All-Academic.
2019-20 (SOPHOMORE): A second team All-American Horsemanship selection … All-Big 12 Horsemanship team honoree … finished the season with a 7-2-2 record … had two MOP’s … earned her first career MOP honor against UT-Martin (Feb. 7) and another against UC Davis (Feb. 8) … had a career-high 77 against No. 1 Auburn (Feb. 1) … her 77 is the eighth-highest score in program history … did not lose a ride in the spring as she went 4-0-2 in that time … defeated four ranked opponents on the year … she averaged a 73.59 this season … was a NCEA first team All-Academic selection ... first team Academic All-Big 12.
2018-19 (FRESHMAN): Posted a 5-6-2 Horsemanship record … recorded points against SMU (Oct. 27), Delaware State (Feb. 1), UC Davis (Mar. 2 and Mar. 30) and in the first round of the Bulldogs’ appearance in the 2019 NCEA Horsemanship championship with a 217-205 victory over South Carolina (April 17) … had a season-high 76 against UC Davis (Mar. 2).
AMATEUR: 2016 AQHA Youth World Cup Reserve Champion in Horsemanship ... 2017 AQHYA World Show (8th place - Horsemanship) ... multiple top five and top ten placings at the All American Quarter Horse Congress for the past seven years ... champion in equitation and western riding at the Level I East Championships.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Margo and Chris Buijs ... biggest athletic thrill is winning the Level I Equitation at the Level I Championships on her horse in the first year showing it ... most admires her parents because they are always so caring and willing to help her achieve her dreams ... chose Fresno State because of the welcoming atmosphere and all of the wonderful support that is provided ... is a biochemistry major.
