Bri Maher is in her first year as an associate director of sports medicine at Fresno State, working as the athletic trainer for the Bulldogs' men's basketball program.
Maher comes to Fresno State after spending two seasons as an athletic trainer at Prairie View A&M University. She primarily worked with the men's and women’s basketball, women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, and women's bowling teams, along with assisting in the oversight of the athletic training student aide internship at PVAMU.
She spent the two years (2017-2019) as an outreach athletic trainer for the Houston Methodist Hospital system. At Houston Methodist Sugar Land, she served as an assistant athletic trainer at Ridge Point High School. A part of the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Athletic Training residency, Maher also served as the assistant athletic trainer at Tomball Memorial High School.
Maher is certified in Sports Manual Therapy, Orthopedic Regenerative Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restriction and Running Rehabilitation Specialist.
Maher, a nationally-certified athletic trainer, earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from San Diego State in 2017, where she worked with the Aztecs’ football and rowing teams. She also spent time at University of California San Diego where she worked with the volleyball and baseball teams.
