George Aramide is in his first season as an assistant men’s basketball coach after joining Fresno State head coach Justin Hutson's coaching staff in 2023.
Prior to Fresno State, Aramide (pronounced: Uh-rah-muh-dee) spent two years on staff at Arizona State University as an assistant coach. In his time at ASU, Aramide contributed to many facets of the program, including recruiting, player development and academics – helping the Sun Devils earn their first NCAA tournament bid since 2019 with a 23-win season overall in 2022-23.
Before his college coaching career, Aramide ran one of the best prep schools in Canada (George Harris Preparatory High School), which produced two number one players in the country – Nick Ongenda (Utah Jazz/DePaul) and Enoch Boakye (Arizona State/Fresno State) and was also ranked number one in Canada for his AAU program – Run N’ Dunk – winning the CNIT Gold in 2018.
Aramide was born in the United Kingdom (London, England), played professionally in Spain and attended Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, Canada. A well-travelled journeyman, Aramide brings worldwide recruiting to Central Valley.
Aramide and his wife Belinda are the parents of Lisa, Vanessa and Andre.
