Johnny Olguin is in his fifth season as the Fresno State Director of Strength and Conditioning.
Johnny O. is responsible for the day-to-day athletic performance development for all Fresno State student-athletes, including direct management of the Fresno State men's basketball and baseball programs, who both won the 2016 Mountain West championship.
During his tenure at Fresno State, Olguin has overseen the expansion and enhancement of the department's 12,000-squarefoot weight room renovations, focusing on professional staff development, has helped implement a strategic sport-specific recovery, enegry and hyrdation template for all student-athletes with multiple speaking engagements and consulting across the nation.

Before coming to Fresno State, Olguin directed the strength and conditioning program at Texas Southern from 2008-12, where he helped lead the Tigers to the 2010 SWAC championship in both football and men's basketball.
Prior to his time at TSU, Olguin worked at the University of Texas from 2005-06, including being part of the Longhorns' 2005 football national championship.
