2023-24 (SOPHOMORE): Competed in eight tournaments for the Bulldogs … owned a 72.8 scoring average … shot a season-low 70 four times this season … carded a season-low 2-under 211 at Nick Watney Invitational as an individual.
PRIOR TO FRESNO STATE (UCSB): Competed in all 11 tournaments for the Gauchos, coming out to 31 rounds … averaged a score of 73.45 per round … earned his career-low round of 68 during his first collegiate tournament, recording a 68 in the third round of the Nick Watney Invitational … had his best finish of the season at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate as he grabbed third place out of 86 golfers … averaged 11.13 pars per round.
PERSONAL: Son of Katherine Willaed and Bradley Benbrook … has two siblings, Gavin and Carter … father (Bradley) played golf at Stanford … brother played basketball at UCSB and Tulane … enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends … biggest athletic thrill teeing off on the first hole of a tournament … chose Fresno State because of the legacy and tradition of the golf program, as well as the community support.
