Bobby Ratterree enters his fourth season as an assistant coach, and fifth with the Fresno State staff after serving as the team’s director of basketball operations during the 2016-17 season. Ratterree’s emphasis in player development is with the program’s wing players. He manages film and player breakdown, works with gray squad players and oversees team camp and coaching clinic.
While initially working with the Bulldogs' guards, Ratterree aided in the the development of All-Mountain West selection Candice White, who led the league in scoring at 18.9 points per game, the fourth-highest average in program history, and also led the Bulldogs in rebounding (6.3), assists (2.7) and steals (1.5). He also oversaw the emergence of MW All-Freshman Team selection Aly Gamez who took over primary point guard duties a month into the 2017-18 season.

Prior to joining the Bulldogs, he spent the 2015-16 season at San Diego Christian College, and the previous two seasons at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. At NJC Ratterree helped the Plainswomen to a 24-7 record and berth to the NJCAA National Tournament in the 2014-2015 season.
Prior to NJC Ratterree was the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations/Co-Equipment Manager at the University of Northern Colorado for the 2012-2013 season in which the Bears advanced to the second round of the WNIT.
From 2011-12 Ratterree was the men’s assistant coach Feather River College in Quincy, Calif., helping them win the Golden Valley Conference Championship and advancing to the CCAAA state playoffs. Prior to coaching at FRC, Ratterree coached high school basketball in Colorado from 2008-11.
Ratterree earned his Bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science and his Master’s degree sport administration from the University of Northern Colorado. While there, he was on the male practice squad for the Bears’ Women’s Basketball team his junior and senior years. Prior to that, he played on the JV Men’s Basketball team at Northwestern College (NAIA) in Orange City, Iowa for two seasons.
