Arizona’s No. 1 player for much of her career, Smyth was the 2014 ITA Southwest Regional Senior of the Year. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team in 2014 and was an honorable mention selection in 2012 and 2013. In each of her four seasons in Tucson, Smyth played in either their NCAA Division I Team Championship or Singles Championship.
Off the court, the native of Oceanside, Calif., was a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic first team selection. In 2014, Smyth was awarded the Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year and won the Pac-12 Conference Post-Graduate Scholarship for Spring Sports. A year later, she received both the College of Education Paul Lindsey Scholarship Award and the College of Education Outstanding Senior Award from University of Arizona.
