Holly Cassina joined the Fresno State Department of Athletics in August 2021 and currently serves as a Strategic Communications Coordinator.

In this role, Cassina is the primary media contact for the Bulldogs’ volleyball and baseball programs. She has also worked with Fresno State men’s & women’s basketball, women’s tennis, swimming & diving, women’s soccer and track & field.

Cassina has extensive experience working official and talent stats for broadcast television partners, along with gameday strategic communications coverage - delivering innovative practice and gameday content directly to fans. Prior to her current role, Cassina served as a Strategic Communications & Digital Media Graduate Assistant, specializing in social and digital media for the department, as well as special projects. She started her career at Fresno State as a student intern during the 2021-22 year.

Cassina also has experience in the pros, having worked as a Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator for the Fresno Grizzlies, the Low A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

As a native of Lemoore, Calif., Cassina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in media, communications & journalism with an emphasis in broadcast journalism from Fresno State in 2022 and earned her master's degree in kinesiology: sports administration at Fresno State in 2024.
