Jerome Fraisse enters his third season as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Bulldogs in 2025 after assisting Head Coach Leisa Rosenin back-to-back winning seasons with the Bulldogs.
"I am so excited to have Jerome on staff with me at Fresno State," Rosen said. "We have an excellent working relationship that will allow us to start up training and recruiting with no hesitation. He is an excellent coach and an even better person. I could not be happier with how my first staff as a head coach is coming together. We are looking forward to meeting the team and the entire volleyball community in the Valley."
PRIOR TO FRESNO STATE
Spending the last five seasons on staff with Rosen at Michigan, Fraisse has been an assistant coach for the last four seasons for the Wolverines after joining the Wolverines as a volunteer assistant in 2018.
Â
In his first season in a full-time capacity with the Wolverines, he helped Michigan post a 21-11 record, including a program-best 13-7 in the Big Ten Conference. Fraisse, working primarily with setters, helped senior setter MacKenzi Welsh to an All-America Honorable Mention honor, as well as a First Team All-Big Ten nod.
Â
He has spent a pair of seasons working with setter Scottee Johnson, who saw her assists-per-set average jump from 8.33 as a freshman during the COVID-altered 2021 spring to 9.69 as a sophomore in the fall of 2021. The team's hitting percentage also jumped from .193 to .250 in the fall of 2021.
Â
In his season as a volunteer assistant with the program, he helped the Wolverines post a 24-10 record in 2018, advancing to the NCAA Regionals in Provo, Utah where they ended their season with a loss to No. 5 Texas in the round of 16. He was responsible for coaching the setters, developing practice plans and preparing and analyzing scouting reports and game plans.
Â
Fraisse coached with the L'ES Meylan Volleyball Club in Meylan, France, where he served as both an assistant women's coach and a head women's coach. He then spent seven years with the L'Arago Sète Volleyball club, and served in various roles including Director of Beach Volleyball, Women's Head Coach, Men's Head Coach, Development Center Manager, and Men's Assistant Coach for ProA, the top professional league.
Â
Fraisse also worked with the Volleyball Romans Club (Romans, France) and the L'Asul Lyon Volleyball Club (Lyon, France) before serving as the GVUC Head Men's Coach in Grenoble, France.
Â
In addition to his professional coaching experience, Fraisse has also worked with the French Boys U20 National Team as well as a girl's U17 club team in Ottawa, Canada.
Â
His most recent coaching position was at Collège Catholique Samuel-Genest in Ottawa.
