Fresno State equestrian head coach Eric Hubbard announced former Bulldog student-athlete Sara Tuck has been hired as the Bulldogs' assistant jumping seat coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Â
2025-26
In her first season on staff, Tuck carried the success into the 2025-26 season. The jumping seat squads combined for 63 total wins with 33 in the flat and 30 in the fences. Sophomore Paris Mahoney earned honorable mention All-America honors in the flat while earning spots on both jumping seat teams for All-Big 12 honors.
Â
The Bulldogs had two meets with a 9-1-0 showing in the jumping seat events. In the season opener, the Bulldog fences unit swept South Dakota State while the flat team went 4-1-0. The Bulldogs secured nine points again, against UT Martin. This time, the flat team earned the sweep with the fences team going 4-1-0.
Â
Prior to coaching
Tuck rode for the Bulldogs from 2019-24, and graduated as one of the program's most decorated riders. The Carmel, Calif. native was a two-time All-Big 12 selection in the flat and was a first team Ariat All-American as a senior in 2024. She became just the third Bulldog to earn first team All-America honors in the flat in program history, joining her predecessor Sierra Swaffar.
Â
Tuck finished her career with 27 career wins in the flat, tying for the second most in program history. She owns the program record with a flat score of 96, set against Oklahoma State in March 2023. She also owns the program record with 10 career Most Outstanding Performer honors in the flat. Her 10 MOPs tie for the program record in any event, with Taylor Brown (2014-18) in the reining.
Â
She was also a four-time first team NCEA All-Academic selection. She's one of two Bulldog equestrian student-athletes to be a four-time first team selection for the academic honor.
