Stefany Valentino joined Fresno State Athletics in December 2024 and serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Student-Athlete Services and the department’s Senior Woman Administrator.
As a member of the executive team, Valentino oversees the athletics compliance program and student-athlete services, ensuring adherence to NCAA, Conference, and institutional regulations while supporting the overall experience and development of Fresno State student-athletes. Additionally, she serves as the sport administrator for women’s basketball, softball, volleyball, swim & dive, and equestrian.
Valentino has been actively engaged in national and conference-level professional service. She currently serves as a member of the NCAA Division I Infractions Process Committee and has been involved with organizations such as the National Association of Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and Women Leaders in Sport.
Valentino arrived in Fresno after spending nearly a decade at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). At UNLV she rose through the compliance office, serving as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services. During her time with the Rebels, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the compliance office, working with all sport programs.
A former student-athlete, Valentino was a four-year letterwinner in softball at UNLV. She earned both her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Health Science in Kinesiology from the UNLV.
Valentino resides in Fresno with her husband, Javier, and their daughter, Saige.
