David Hall has served as Fresno State's Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Student-Athlete Services since Aug. 1, 2019. His current tenure on staff started on Jan. 1, 2017 as he came aboard as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance.
In his current role as a member of the senior leadership team, Hall is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program across 21 NCAA Division I sports for upwards of 500 student-athletes. Hall provides oversight for the compliance unit, student-athlete services unit as well as student-athlete development. He also acts as the sport supervisor for the men's tennis and women's soccer programs.
Prior to Fresno State, Hall served as the Director of Compliance at Washington State. He was responsible for managing day to day operations in the compliance unit. He assisted in developing and implementing a comprehensive rules education program. During his time at Washington State, Hall served on the Pac-12 Financial Aid legislative working group.Â
Before WSU, Hall served as the Assistant Director of Compliance at Stanford from 2013-14.Â
Hall began his career in intercollegiate athletics at Fresno State in the Compliance unit in January of 2010. He began as a compliance intern and was elevated to compliance coordinator and Student Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor before departing for Stanford.
Hall received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Fresno State in 2008 and completed a master's degree in Sports Administration from Fresno Pacific University in 2013.Â
He and his wife, Carlie, have a son, Bennett, and a daughter, Madison.Â
