Men's Soccer Falls to Tulsa With Seconds Remaining

Entering the game tied for third in the WAC with 3 wins and 3 losses apiece, the Bulldogs and Hurricane stepped onto Tulsa?s turf field for a game that would last 118:18 minutes including two sudden-death overtimes.
With an entire scoreless first half, and a second half that went scoreless until the final 10 minutes, the Bulldogs and Hurricane went head-to-head volleying for the lead.
At the 80:35 mark Bulldog Adam Maurer ended the suspense finding net off a penalty kick putting the ?Dog up by one. The lead would not last long as the Hurricane responded by finding net at the 84:03 mark tying the game 1-1, a score that would last until the game clock ran out.
The first 15 minute overtime resulted scoreless, the second ended the game in Hurricane favor.
With under two minutes left on the game clock, Hurricane Shawn McCullough was credited with a goal that found net from a ball deflected off a Bulldog defending the goal.
The Bulldog record moves to 7-9-1 overall and 3-4-0 in the WAC.
