Game notes
--- The win by San Diego is its first since the series started in 1986. Fresno State leads the all-time series 4-1. It also avenges last season?s 80-67 overtime victory by the Bulldogs at the North Gym. It is also the largest margin of victory for a team in the series.
--- For only the second time this year, the Bulldogs employed a starting lineup of Lindsay Logan, Laura Garcia, Amanda Baker, Tiffany Simon and Tiffany Lewis. FS is 1-1 when starting that lineup.
--- Amanda Baker had 17 of Fresno State?s 32 first half points. She finished with a career-high 25 on 12 of 15 shooting. It marks the second consecutive game she has set a new career-high for points.
--- The Toreros started on fire, scoring the game?s first seven points. USD jumped to a 25-10 first half lead with 10:53 remaining before the Bulldogs cut it to four at the end of the half.
--- Minutes before the game was to start, the shot clocks atop both baskets malfunctioned and were rendered unusable for the entire contest. Auxiliary shot clocks mounted on the wall underneath both baskets were utilized instead.
--- WAC Player of the Week Tiffany Lewis recorded her fourth double-double of the season. She scored 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the game. It is her third game in a row she has posted a doule-double.
--- The game?s biggest discrepancy was from the free throw line, where USD made 11 free throws to FS?s none. The Toreros also made four more three pointers than did the Bulldogs.
--- The 22 second half points was Fresno State?s lowest offensive output in a half this season.
