Women's Basketball Loses to San Diego 71-54

FRESNO, Calif. - The University of San Diego started on fire and ended with four players in double figures in defeating Fresno State 71-54 at the USD Sports Center. The win runs the Toreros? record to 4-3. The Bulldogs drop to 3-4.
Jessica Gray, who had only been averaging 10 points per game entering tonight, led the way for USD, scoring 26 points and adding 10 rebounds. Susie Erpelding scored 15 points and closed the door on Fresno State with 4:45 left, hitting an off balance 15-foot jumper with two seconds on the shot clock to extend the Torero lead to 59-48. The Bulldogs never got closer than 11 the rest of the way.
Robyn Fortney and Kerri Nakamoto also scored in double figures for the Toreros, adding 15 and 10 points, respectively.
For the second consecutive game, Amanda Baker set a new career-high for points. She scored 25 on the night, including 17 in the first half
