Bulldogs Cruise Past Hawaii

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Courtney Alexander scored 28 points to lead Fresno State to a 93-66 rout of Hawaii in Western Athletic Conference play Saturday night.
Willie Farley added 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Fresno State ( 15-7, 5-2 conference).
Mike McIntyre led Hawaii (4-14, 1-6) with 16 points and Marquette Alexander added 11 points.
Fresno State trailed 12-8 early in the game after an 11-point Hawaii run. But then the Bulldogs took control of the game with 12-straight points, six on a pair of threes by Farley.
Alexander had 18 of his points in the first half as Fresno State opened up a 54-27 halftime lead.
Fresno State extended the lead to 37 points just over five minutes into the second half as Alexander scored five to spark a 14-7 run.
Terrance Roberson added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Fresno State. The Bulldogs outrebounded Hawaii 46-33.
Fresno State point guard Chris Herren, who had missed six games earlier this season with an ankle injury, had to leave the game midway through the first half after re-injuring the ankle. Herren was averaging almost 15 points a game.
