Bulldogs Swim and Dive Past Spartans

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team defeated San Jose State, 177-105, in a dual match held today at Clovis West High School in Fresno, Calif.

The Bulldogs took first place in nine of the 17 swimming and diving events on their way to victory. Seniors Holly Gravatt (100 Breast, 200 Breast) and Amalia Gonzalez (100 Back, 200 Back) paced the Bulldogs with two first place finishes. In diving, Dana Davis swept the 3-meter and 1-meter competitions with scores of 262.125 and 222.225, respectively.

The Bulldogs also won the 400 Medley Relay by a time of 4:01.22. The relay team was made-up of Gravatt, Summir Case, Jesie Lewis and Keri Poate, by a time of 4:01.22.

Fresno State will return to the pool on Saturday, Feb. 6, as they host UNLV at Clovis West High School beginning at noon.
