Men's Basketball Blows Out Chicago State, 94-71

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Terrance Roberson scored 18 points to lead Fresno State to a 94-71 win against Chicago State in the first round of the Coors Light Classic on Tuesday night.
Fresno State (8-4) will play Miami of Ohio, a 58-52 winner against San Diego in the first game, for the championship Wednesday night.
Jermaine Hicks almost single-handily kept Chicago State (1-8) in the game with a tournament record-tying 40-point performance. Hicks made 16 of 24 field goal attempts.
Courtney Alexander and Willie Farley each had 17 points for Fresno State. Larry Abney added 13 and had a game-high 17 rebounds.
Fresno State ran off 12 straight points over a span of four minutes in the second half to open up a 71-37 lead, its biggest of the game, with 13:26 left on the clock.
Roberson made his first four shots, including three from 3-point range to help Fresno State jump out to a 16-2 lead less than six minutes into the game.
Hicks provided most of the offense for Chicago State in the first half with 16 points but Fresno State still led 54-31 at halftime.
Marques Buford was the only other Chicago State player in double figures with 16 points to go along with 12 rebounds.
