Men's Soccer Takes on Fresno Dragons

Fresno, Calif. - The defending Western Athletic Conference champion Fresno State mens soccer team will take on the Fresno Dragons in an exhibition match on Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium. The game is free and open to the public.
Last season the Bulldogs won the WAC Tournament by defeating Tulsa, 5-4, in an overtime shootout. Including the WAC Tournament, Fresno State compiled a 8-0-2 record in Bulldog Stadium. In a recent survey Fresno State finished first in the nation for average home attendance (2,716) and third in overall attendance (27,158).
Next season the Bulldogs will welcome nationally-ranked Stanford to town for the 1999 Nike Goal Rush Classic as well as conference rivals SMU, TCU and San Jose State. Away from Bulldogs Stadium, the soccer team will take on defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers and host Butler in the Butler Nike Tournament, Sept. 10-12. The next week Fresno State will travel to head coach Dave Cheslers alma mater for the University of Washington Nike Tournament.
