Women's Basketball Rolls Over NWBL Elite 91-59

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State got five players in double figures and shot 54 percent in the first half en route to a 91-59 exhibition victory over the NWBL Elite at the North Gym. The game ends the Bulldogs' exhibition season.
The game was close for the first 10 minutes until Fresno State turned up its level of play a notch. The Bulldogs led the NWBL Elite 19-14 with 9:17 left in the first half when they broke things open with a 32-11 run that lasted until the end of the half, giving FS a 51-25 halftime edge. Fresno State never let up, and the NWBL Elite trailed by 30 or more points for most of the second half.
In only her second game in a Bulldog uniform, Chantea Fleming had a huge night, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Omelogo Udeze led Fresno State with 18 points while Lindsay Logan had 16 and Tiffany Simon and Channan High had 13.
For the NWBL Elite, Adrianne Grayson led all scorers with 20 points. The team shot only 38 percent in the game and committed 26 turnovers. In comparison, FS shot 49 percent and committed 19 turnovers.
Fresno State opens its season Saturday with the Fresno State Classic. Following is the tournament schedule:
