FRESNO, Calif. - The Chinese National Team went on an 18-3 run to end the first half and defeated Fresno State 84-55 in the Bulldogs' first exhibition game. The individual and team stats from the game do not count toward season totals.
Fresno State got off to a good start, jumping out to a 17-10 lead 10 minutes into the game. But the Chinese took over at that point, scoring nine of the next 11 points to tie the score. Their run to end the first half gave them a 37-22 edge at the intermission.
Things didn't get much better for FS in the second half. The Chinese, who frequently used full-court passes to set up easy layups, went ahead 47-26 just five minutes into the second half. Fresno State got it down to 14 with 10:26 remaining but could get no closer the rest of the way.
Logan was tied for the game-high in points with 16. She also added seven assists. Tiffany Simon added 15 points.
For the Chinese, Sui Feifei had 16 points and added eight rebounds. Miao Lijie (14), Hu Ziaotao (10) and Ma Chengquing (10) also scored in double figures.
