Women's Tennis Defeats UNLV 8-1

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 25 Fresno State women's tennis team defeated UNLV 8-1 today at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. Fresno State improves to 2-4 while UNLV falls to 4-3.
The Bulldogs swept the singles matches by winning all six. In doubles play Fresno State won on courts No. 2 and No. 3 but Liesl Fichtbauer (Jr., Hamburg, Germany) and Kandiss Creighton (Sr., Weldon, Calif.) lost at the No. 1 seed 8-3.
Fresno State returns to action this weekend where they travel to Seattle, Wash. to take on the University of Washington on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Washington State on Sunday at 10 a.m.
