#6 Fresno State Softball Completes Doubleheader Sweep Over BYU

March 25, 2000 FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State completed its doubleheader non-conference sweep over BYU with its second straight mercy-run rule game, 12-3, against the Cougars. Trailing 3-0 in the first due to three Bulldog errors, Fresno State rallied back in the bottom of the first with two runs before cutting loose for two more in the third, one in the fourth, five in the fifth and two more in the sixth to end the game. A game that feature eight errors, four a piece, Fresno State scored 12 runs on a season-high 17 hits while BYU scored three runs on five hits. Sophomore southpaw Kristen Hunter picked up her 10th win while striking out six. Senior RHP/OF Amanda Scott broke the Western Athletic Conference's all-time career RBI mark with No. 202.
