Women's Tennis Defeats Pacific to Improve to 14-7

FRESNO, Calif. -
The Fresno State women's tennis team defeated Pacific today 6-3 in Stockton at the Hal Nelson Tennis Center. With this win the Bulldogs close out their regular season with a record of 14-7 while Pacific falls to 11-9.
In singles play Fresno State earned four points with wins on courts No. 1 and No. 4 through No. 6. Liesl Fichtbauer (Jr., Hamburg, Germany) defeated Melinda Kocsis 6-0, 6-3 on court No. 6 in her first singles match back after a foot injury. Her last singles match played was on February 27 at Washington State.
The Bulldogs won on courts No. 1 and No. 2 in doubles play to win the match 6-3.
Last Monday's Pepperdine match was postponed due to rain and a make-up date has not yet been scheduled. The Bulldogs head into the WAC tournament April 28-30 at TCU.
