#7 Softball Gets Multiple Performances from Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 7 Fresno State softball used multiple hit performances from four different Bulldogs and tallied its fifth mercy run-rule game on the season with a 10-2 victory over Dartmouth in non-conference action.
Fresno State jumped out quickly with four runs in the first before tacking on two more in the third and another four in the fourth. Dartmouth got its two runs in the top of the fourth.
Sophomore right-hander Lindsay Foster picked up her third win but had her streak of 20.0 innings pitched without an earned run halted in the fourth. Senior center fielder Becky Witt, who went 2-4 with two runs and a walk, increased her career mark in stolen bases to 43.
Junior third baseman Lindsay Fossatti (2-3, 3 runs), senior shortstop Alicia Dowland (2-3, run, two RBI) and freshman second baseman Pam Perez (2-3, RBI) collected multiple hit games for the Bulldogs. Freshman DP/LHP Lori Hoffman and Dowland notched multiple RBI performances with each have two a piece.
With a trio of doubles in the win over the Big Green, Fresno State also swiped a season high four stolen bases against Dartmouth.
