Men's Soccer Cancels Alumni Match

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's soccer team has announced the cancellation of the alumni match on Friday, Aug. 24.

The match was cancelled due to a conflict with NCAA scheduling regulations. Instead, the 2001 Bulldog squad will compete in an inter-squad match at 5 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.

Preseason action will continue with an exhibition match versus CS Stanislaus taking place this Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Soc-Com Soccer Complex in Hanford, Calif. Kick-off time is slated for 2 p.m. Regular season action begins on Friday, Aug. 31, with the Loyola Marymount University Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif. The Bulldogs will take the pitch against UC Riverside on the 31st at 12:30 p.m. and then again on Sunday, Sept. 2, versus LMU at 3 p.m.
