Cross Country Finshes Regular Season

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's cross country team finished fourth at the Santa Clara Invitational.
Consistently clenching first and second, respectively, for the team all year were Kara June (Santa Maria, Calif.) and Olga Gutierrez-Nunez (Visalia, Calif.). Junior Kara June finished fourth overall with a personal best in the 5K of 18:06 and senior Gutierrez-Nunez came in eighth overall and also a personal best time of 18:52.
" I am very pleased with how the entire team ran ... this is a tough course and we ran against some great competition",said Fresno State women's cross country coach Shannon Lieder.
Nevada captured the team title with 36 points. Santa Clara and Fullerton finished second and third, respectively. The Invitational featured nine team sand 112 runners.
The men's cross country finished second at the Cal Poly Invitational. The team improved from its last year's fourth place finish.
Junior-transfer,
All seven Bulldogs finished in the top 35. Sixty-three runners and six team ran in the Invitational .
UCLA won the Invitational with 39 points and the third and fifth finishers.
