Cross Country Finishes Season at NCAA Regionals

FRESNO, Calif.- Kara June and Roosevelt Cook represented Fresno State on Sat., Nov. 16, at the NCAA District 9 Regionals.
After receiving second team All-WAC honors at the WAC Championships in Dallas on Nov. 2, junior Kara June placed 49th in the 6K which featured 189 runners. June recorded a time of 22:56 shaving 30 seconds off last year's Regional time of 23:36.
Senior Roosevelt Cook recorded a time of 32:55 and placed 78th out of 160 runners. The men's race was a change of pace from the standard 8K to a 10K.
The race was at Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. Stanford walked away with both team titles and both top runners in the women's and men's division. For the women sophomore Alicia Craig won with a time of 20:39 and junior Donald Sage won with a time of 30:13.
