FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State is taking part in a "Coats for Kids" Drive that will help keep disadvantaged children around the San Joaquin Valley warm this winter.
Prior to and during Friday and Saturday's games at the McCaffrey Classic men's basketball tournament at Selland Arena, boxes will be set up at each entrance to collect new or old coats. These items will be donated to the Fresno Unified School District to children kindergarten through the eighth grade.
The McCaffrey Classic begins Friday at 5:30 p.m. with Saint Mary's taking on Sam Houston State. Fresno State plays Idaho State at 8 p.m. The consolation and championship games are played Saturday at 5:30 and 8 p.m., respectively.
