No. 17 Women's Tennis Falls to No. 11 UCLA

FRESNO, Calif. - After a sucessful match at home, Fresno State struggled against UCLA. In doubles, No. 4-ranked Kim Niggemeyer and Simone Jardim had a close win over No. 8 Petya Marinova and Sara Walker, but Fresno State was unable to clinch the doubles point with losses at the No. 2 and No. 3 position. Chloe Carlotti and Lucia Tallo fell to Megan Bradley and Lauren Fisher 8-3, while Kelly Ramirez and Chantel Wiggins lost to Sarah Gregg and Catherine Hawley 8-4.
In singles, Niggemeyer was the only one to win her match, after Bradley pulled out after the second set due to injury 1-6, 7-5. Carlotti, who had previously gone 8-0, lost to Walker 6-3, 6-0. Playing at No. 3 was Jardim, who fell to Marinova 7-5, 6-3.
The Bulldogs' next match will take place at home, where they will face San Diego on February 24.
