No. 18 Women's Tennis Remains Undefeated At Home

FRESNO, Calif. - Though the courts were ravaged by rain storms last night, the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center was up and running for todays competition against No. 46 Harvard. In doubles, the Bulldogs had a clean sweep against the Crimson and won all of their matches. Kim Niggemeyer and Simone Jardim, the No. 6 duo in the nation, took down Alexis Matire and Ashley Hyotte 8-1. On the second court, Chloe Carlotti and Lucia Tallo battled it out against Courtney Bergman and Susanna Lingman for an 8-6 victory, while on the third court Chantel Wiggins and Courtney Jantz scraped by with a 9-7 win over Fleur Broughton and Sarah McGinty.
In singles, Chloe Carlotti was the only Bulldog to lose a match, falling 7-5, 3-6, 2-6 to Lingman at the No. 2 spot. Niggemeyer, swinging back after several consecutive losses in singles, wiped out Bergman 6-2, 6-4. Jardim took her match into three sets, but pulled off a 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 win over Matire.
