Reno Classic a Huge Success for Women's Tennis

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs started off on the right foot after a 5-0 win over SMU on Saturday. The Bulldogs opened up play by sweeping the doubles matches. No. 33 Kim Niggemeyer defeated Jenny Langer in three sets at the no. 1 position, with an 0-6, 6-4, 6-2 finish.
Fresno State pulled off their second victory of the weekend against Nevada on Sunday. The Bulldogs won every single match. The toughest battle came at the No. 1 spot. Kim Niggemeyer pushed the match into three sets and finally took the victory against Tjasa Jezernik 4-6, 6-4, 7-6. Chloe Carlotti took down Vania Apodaca 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 position and Simone Jardim defeated Biljana Trpeska quickly with a 6-0, 6-1 finish.
