Junior right-hander Leslie Poole, who picked up the win in game one, provided relief help and recorded her first save as a Bulldog (second in collegiate career) after getting out all five batters faced in 1.2 innings.

The Bulldogs scored first with a run in the third before the Gauchos answered back with a tro-run frame in the top of the fourth.
In the third, Czarnecki scored on a one-out wild pitch by UCSB's pitcher Katie Junge.
In the top of the fourth with one out, Gaucho shortstop Julia Tamai laced a RBI triple to right center and knocked in catcher Jamie Trinidad who had just singled to center field. Center fielder Natalie Adame then hit a sacrifice fly to deep right field to score Tamai.
