FRESNO, Calif. - After beginning the longest homestand of the regular season on a sour note, Fresno State looks to bounce back tonight against USC. The Bulldogs enter 2-4 and have lost two of their last three, including a 70-62 overtime home loss to Creighton on Saturday, while the Trojans are 3-3 following an 85-61 to BYU last week. Tonight's game is being televised by KFRE WB 59.
The all-time series between the two schools is tied 2-2. Fresno State and USC first met in 1928, back in the days when teams such as St. Ignatius and the Sun Maids were on the Bulldogs' schedule. They played again in 1929 and then didn't meet again until the 1994 NIT first round, a game won by Fresno State at Selland Arena. The Trojans visited Selland again in 2001 for the Preseason NIT, a contest also won by the Bulldogs.
