Woods Suspended Indefinitely From Men's Basketball Team

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head men's basketball coach Ray Lopes has suspended senior forward Jonathan Woods indefinitely for violation of team policy.
"Jon violated a team policy and must face the consequences," Lopes said. "We will re-evaluate his situation next week and at that point will determine when he rejoins the team."
Woods has played in both of the Bulldogs' games this year, starting one. He ranks second on the team with a 12.5 scoring average and 5.5 rebound average.
"We have said many times that we want our student-athletes to be role models and not examples," Athletics Director Scott Johnson said. "I fully support Coach Lopes and how he is handling this situation."
Fresno State's next game comes Friday against Arkansas-Monticello.
