FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State takes on SMU on Saturday looking to bounce back from its first home loss of the season. The Bulldogs suffered an 80-77 loss to Louisiana Tech on Thursday, dropping their record to 17-5 (10-3). They are still in first place in the conference, one-half game ahead of Nevada.
The Mustangs are 12-10 (7-5 WAC) after their 82-64 loss to the Wolf Pack on Thursday. SMU currently rests in fourth in the league.
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 7-2, including victories in five in a row. Fresno State is 3-1 against SMU at Selland Arena. The Bulldogs' last loss to the Mustangs came in 2000 in Fresno, an 85-75 loss. Both of Fresno State's losses to SMU came during the 1999-00 season.
