Volleyball Offers Summer Camps

2003 Fresno State volleyball camp/clinic application form
FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State is offering a week of volleyball camps next month for girls and boys, from the ages of 9-18. They are invited to attend any of the two clinics and camp being offered on campus in the North Gym.
Under the direction of the Fresno State volleyball coaching staff as well as assistance from the Bulldogs, the one camp and two clinics are slated for July 21-27. All camps and clinics are open to the general public. Individuals will be divided according to age, skill development and position.
The first date is July 21-24, 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., for girls and boys ages 9-14. It will be an all skills camp that will focus on learning and improving in the game of volleyball. The focus of this camp is to improve basic skills in every phase of the game with special attention given to setting, passing, serving, blocking, hitting, defensive skills and offensive and defensive team play. Each participant will receive a free camp T-shirt, Mikasa volleyball and outstanding instruction. The camp cost is $145.00
The second date is July 26, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., for girls and boys ages 13-18. This is a hitter's clinic that will assist those who wish to increase power, control and add variety to attacking skills as well as emphasize basic fundamentals of footwork, vertical jumping skills, arm speed and control and shot selection. The fee for this clinic is $75.00.
The third and final date is July 27, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., for girls and boys ages 13-18. It is a defensive clinic that will provide those the fundamental skills of serving, serve reception, free ball passing and advanced defensive skills such as extensions, run-throughs, rolls and collapsed digs. The fee for this clinic is also $75.00
New this year is the Bulldog Satellite Camps. High school and middle school teams may request the Bulldog coaching staff to run a single or multi-day camp at their respective place.

Deadline for signing up for any of the three Fresno State volleyball camp/clinics is July 7.
