Fresno State and Iowa State met for the first time on Nov. 28, 1998 at the Great Alaska Shootout. The Cyclones notched a 79-70 win. The Bulldogs are coming off an 85-69 loss to Buffalo this past Wednesday and will look to rebound tonight. Tonight's game is the first Bulldog Sports Television broadcast for men's basketball. Fresno State's game will be broadcast live on KFRE (WB 59). In addition, this game is being televised by ESPN Regional by the Cyclone Television Network.

Dwight O'Neil has had the hot hand for the Bulldogs in the last two games. The guard has 29 points and six 3-pointers to go along with five assists. In these two games, O'Neil is averaging 14.5 points while shooting 58 percent (6-11) from the floor overall and 50 percent (6-12) beyond the arc. Kevin Bell picked up his first career double figure assist game last time out against Buffalo. He was the first Bulldog since Shantay Legans to dish out 10 or more since Feb. 21, 2004 when Legans tallied 10 against East Tennessee State.
Quickie Note
Head coach Steve Cleveland is meeting Iowa State for the second time in his career. At BYU, he faced the Cyclones at the Yahoo Sports Invitational in Hawai'i and the Cougars fell 77-71 on Dec. 22, 2000. Fresno State is 6-13 all-time versus Big 12 opponents.
