Fresno, Calif. - Fresno State's cross country team has received another honor for their committment to academic excellence as the team garnered six Academic All-WAC mentions. Andrea Buckner, Zinzi Evans, Leah Horowitz, Nicolin Neal, Andria Osteen and Courtney Stewart all earned the honor, which is given to athletes who participate in a set number of contests while retaining a 3.2 GPA for the preceeding year.

Buckner, Neal, Osteen and Stewart were all named Academic All-WAC last season as well, when the Bulldogs had seven members named Academic All-WAC.

Fresno State has now had 22 athletes named Academic All-WAC under head coach Shannon Lieder's tenure, while also having a large number of athletes on the Dean's list as well, including five from 2003.
