Men's Golf Finishes 10th At USC Southwest Intercollegiate

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Fresno State (298-302-288-888) (+36) completed the USC Southwest Intercollegiate in 10th place, rising from a 12th place finish after the close of Monday's play. Tennessee (284-279-289-852) finished even par to claim the title, while BYU (291-280-283-854) finished second at two-over.
Georgia Southern's Aron Price (69-64-70-203) claimed the individual title at 10-under.
Pacing the Bulldogs was junior Jon Rosa (74-75-70), who tied for 26th at six-over for a 219 total. Mark Modglin (72-78-70), one stroke behind at 220, climbed from a 43rd-place tie to finish tied for 28th at seven-over.
Senior Ryan Carter (78-71), who began the day tied for 35th, carded a third-round 74 to finish 10-over and tied for 37th place (223). Juniors Jason Anthony (74-82-75-231 at +18) and Brian Kelley (80-78-74-232 at +19) finished the tournament in 63rd and a tie for 64th places, respectively.
Fresno State returns to action March 13-15 when it travels to Naples, Fla., for the Naples Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
