FRESNO, Calif. - After two rounds of the Lexus Invitational at the Hammock Bay Country Club in Naples, Fla., Fresno State (295-296-591) stands in seventh place. Baylor leads the 12-team field with 571, followed by Saint Mary's (573) and Portland (574).

Ryan Carter (73-68) posted a 141 at the close of play Monday. Jon Rosa (68-77) finished with a 145. Jason Anthony (76-77) and Ryan McDonald (78-75) are tied with scores of 153. Mark Modglin (78-76) bettered his second round score by two strokes to end the day with 154.

This is the team's best finish since Oct. 26 at the Barona Collegiate Cup. Fresno State will play its third and final round Tuesday.
