| Junior Kevin Bell has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 5. It is the second honor of the season for Bell, and the third in a row for men's basketball. Bell, a junior point guard, led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record this past week, while averaging 21 points, nine assists, three rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Bell scored a then career-high 17 points in a 78-77 win over Boise State on Thursday night. Bell's final two points came on a jumper with 0.6 seconds remaining to beat the Broncos. Bell also added 11 assists against Boise State. On Saturday night, Bell followed his heroics with a career-high 25 points and seven assists, playing all 40 minutes as Fresno State snapped Utah State's 15-game home streak. Bell went 15 of 24 (62.5%) in both games, and shot 42% from beyond the arc. Bell previously won the award for his play against Idaho and Utah State the week of Jan. 9.
